Dear breastcancer.org Community Member:

Of all the treatments for cancer, chemotherapy is probably the most talked about and the most dreaded. This is probably due to the unpleasant side effects many people experience, including nausea, vomiting, and hair loss. But nowadays there are effective ways to reduce and even eliminate these chemotherapy side effects, keep your energy up, support your immune system, and allow you to go on with your life through and beyond treatment.

And chemotherapy is one of the most effective ways we have to shrink cancers before surgery and to lower the risk of cancer coming back after it's taken out. In the last few years there have been many new advances in chemotherapy treatment for breast cancer.

What are the newest and best chemotherapy drugs? How often should you get them? Who benefits most from each type? What are the best combinations? Should you have chemotherapy before surgery? Will you then still need it after?

For answers to these questions and more, join us next Thursday, February 19th, between 9:30 and 11 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST)*, for this month's Ask-The-Expert Online Conference: "Chemotherapy Updates -- The Best Options for YOU."

Our guest speaker for this online Conference will be Jennifer Griggs, M.D. Dr. Griggs is Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine/Oncology at the University of Rochester in Rochester, New York, and Director of the Comprehensive Breast Cancer Program at the University of Rochester Cancer Center. She is a member of the breastcancer.org Professional Advisory Board. I will moderate the Conference.

To join the Conference, go to http://www.breastcancer.org any time between 9:30 and 11 p.m. EST* on February 19th and click on the "Join Conference" button. No special software is required. A transcript of the Conference will be posted on our site by February 24th.
