Eric,
Everyone who has responded to you have wonderful and varied comments. You will find that if you ask every woman on this site her experience, you will get many, many different answers. I, for example, had a lumpectomy for a smallish tumor, had 21 neg nodes removed, had A/C/Taxol, then mastectomy, Tamoxifen and Arimidex. And almost 4 years later had a recurrence. Yet many women with my experience, Her 2+ or not, will never have recurrence. Statistics are simply numbers used to try to develop patterns and to create greater understanding. Any number always has an opposing number, i.e. majority and minority. And any of us can fall into either category at any time.

I guess this is my long-winded way of saying: consider the stats, find a good doctor (which I believe you have), consider all your options (there are always way too many), chart your course and then forget the stats. Just put up the best fight you can and have faith that you did your damnedst.

Love and light to you and your wife,

Lisa
