Recommended trial at Sloan

In case this is helpful to anyone...although Caryn's dr chose Doxil for her next course of treatment I spoke to a Dr at Sloan (through a friend) who felt very strongly about a trial involving a heat shock therapy along with herceptin (http://www.mskcc.org/mskcc/html/2270.cfm?IRBNO=07-123). Caryn's Onc found this trial very interesting as it's really a phase 1 coming off a phase 2 with some good results. While he doesn't like the idea of a phase 1 for Caryn at this time, he found this worth considering. He felt the Doxil was the safer bet for her at this time but I thought this might be helpful to someone else looking for a trial.

Eric

Last year at San Antonio, there were alot of great results presented from the heat shock drug alone. With Herceptin, its probably alot better. I am going to San Antonio and I will try to find out as much as I can because the same researchers should be there.
