Prayers solicited!
Just a note to ask you to remember my husband Wendell and I in your prayers. He is having quadruple bypass open heart surgery tomorrow (Sunday morning, July 2, 7:30 AM). You may remember that I had a triple bypass 6 weeks ago! And it was exactly two years ago this week that I had a heart attack and then discovered BC was back, this time in my lungs. Evidently Independence Day is not a good time for us. The cardiologist (the one who looks and talks like Jeff Foxworthy) did an angiogram on my husband Friday June 30 and when he showed me the results I could only marvel that I haven't lost my husband to a massive heart attack before now. So we are grateful to get this second chance. My husband wanted to back out (he remembers what I went through!) but I told him "No way." If we had had simultaneous heart attacks, fine--but now that my heart has new blood vessels, he has to have them too, so he can keep up with me! Of course being a man he had to do some oneupmanship: if I had a triple bypass he has to have at least quadruple! I liked the way the cardiologist put his condition: "If he were a car, I'd say the motor is in very good shape but the fuel lines are all clogged up!" As I said, the surgery is at 7:30 AM MST tomorrow morning (Sunday, July 2) and we would be grateful for your thoughts and prayers that all goes well. Thank you so much! Hugs, Tricia

Tricia,
Both you and your husband will be in my thoughts today. And, since you asked, I will say a prayer for him, although spiritual, I am not religious. As you said , the procedure was not easy. However, since you have already been through it, you will be a great coach and will get him thorough one step at a time.
Best wishes to Wendell for successful surgery and a speedy recovery.

Tricia, I haven't posted to you since I met you in March. That was a special treat for me and one night in the chat room several people expressed their envy that I got to meet you. You are a beautiful lady and I would bet your husband is just as beautiful. I, too, will pray for his speedy recovery. I can appreciate your comment about his one-up-manship. I do believe God made men that way so we would have something useful to do.
Love and hugs,
Marlys
