Red face KOS-1022 Kosan HSP90 inhibitor trial?

My diffuse lung spots (metastatic inflammatory breast cancer) have started to grow while on the second to the last dose of my Herceptin. I tried to get into a Tykerb study, but one had just closed, another will open in a few weeks (but my 8 mm spot has to be larger 10mm) and the rest that are available I don't qualify for because I have not tried 2 other chemos for mets....

I signed up for an HSP90 inhibitor study using KOS-1022 and Herceptin. It's supposed to "kick-start" the Herceptin back to working again we hope. It cuts off the chaperone that transfers proteins to the cell surface (Her 2, Her 1, p53, etc) that helps the malignant cells grow and multiply. Anyone here been on it or know anyone? Any good news?? Hugs & Prayers, Krysti - Indy
