Re: Recently diagnosed @ 33 and scared

I don't know that I can answer your questions but I wanted to offer some words of encouragement. I was diagnosed at 31 with Her2+ breast cancer, my son was 6 months. I remember having all the same fears that you are having right now. The waiting is the hardest part. I also had a suspicious node. I just wanted to let you know that I am now over 3 years out since my diagnosis and cancer free. My son will be 4 soon. I also have met other young women with Her2 breast cancer that are doing really well and they were diagnosed years before me. Be careful, a lot of the information out there on Her2 is from before Herceptin. Herceptin has improved the odds for women with Her2 significantly. I am really sorry you are having to deal with this.
