Unhappy Dana Reeve passed away

Dana Reeve wife of christopher reeve passed away yesterday. She was only 6 months out from a lung cancer dx. This saddens me deeply. She stayed by her husband for 10 years with his disability. Never left his side. Then she gets dx with cancer. I do believe God has his hand in everything. Christopher must have needed her by his side. Or God is bringing her home now because Heaven is so wonderful and He is giving her this gift early in her life. I have to believe this

Angry

Michelle,

When I read that Dana Reeves passed away it made my heart ache. It aches for her and her 13 year old son. To lose both parents so close together makes me so sad. She seemed like a wonderful person.

It makes me realize how blessed I am to have the time with my family.

I hate cancer. All cancers!!

Love,
Lexi

My heart goes out to their son and family. I was saddened to hear this. She truly was a hero and loved by so many. Only God knows why this happened. Sandy

So very sad to hear of her passing, and so soon after diagnosis. My heart goes out to her family. Our family doctor's wife recently passed from lung cancer, and was not a smoker. I am once again reminded that each day is a gift.

I was also reminded by her story that lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer deaths, not breast cancer!!

Unhappy

I am both sad and angry because of the death of Dana Reeves. I know God knows the bigger picture, but I just can't understand what good her death can bring to their 13 year old son. I pray that he has people who can give him the love and guidance that I'm sure he received from his parents. I can't even imagine the heartbreak that Dana went through. I don't believe the actual death is as hard as the time leading up to the end. I sometimes have a glimps of what that feels like, but my denial takes over and is actually a blessing.

If you listen to some holistic practioners they say the lung cancer is representative of grief. I certainly think that applies to her diagnosis.

Many Tears

When I heard the sad news of Dana Reeve passing I could not hold back my tears. We lost a Hero - she was an Icon of strength and positve direction for all at all times. I am so tired of "cancer" and the damage and pain it delivers. I pray each night and first thing in the morning for a miracle - for a cure for all of us.
