Lightbulb New year's resolutions (2012)

(1) What will they be this year?

(2) What will it take for you to keep them?

Re: New year's resolutions (2012)

(1) Exercise on a regular basis.
(2) Given the nature of my work (prof. who is sitting at a computer a lot), I will need to schedule exercise times each week into my calendar and will start this wee. I will also set realistic goals. A little afraid to go public on this.

Re: New year's resolutions (2012)

1) clean up my diet - been too lenient with yummy treats & desserts, not to mention all that sugar just isn't good for me/anyone!
2) walk my dog regularly & get some scheduled, structured exercise in

Karen - I know of a GREAT Pilates studio to help you get going on your resolutions! Seriously, let me be a part of your success
TriciaK - Bravo to you & your husband. One full week off cigs is just the beginning of the rest of your life!

Keep the Faith~

Smile Re: New year's resolutions (2012)

Way to got Tricia. I was a smoker for many years. I really did not have a problem quitting either. The price of them now is outragious, don't know how people can afford them. I know of one young man who lives in Scotland and he takes holidays in Spain and stocks up over there. He says they are a lot cheaper too. Keep up the good work, Jeanette

Re: New year's resolutions (2012)

Organize all my photos. My oldest son is 25 and I still have them in various boxes, unorganized, scattered in closets and under the bed, etc.

Scrapbook them. I know I won't finish them all this year but I'd like to do a couple. I am a very artistic scrapbooker and each page takes forever and costs a fortune, so my goal is to get them in albums and worry about the art later.

I start tomorrow with my trip to Hawaii back in '08. I am starting there because I have all the photos in one place. Almost all, anyway.

I am going to spend an hour tomorrow digging through a plastic bin of photos and trying to sort them somehow. Since they can't be chronological (no dates on them) I'll just do generic. Child #1, baby. Child #2, baby. Child #1, Shool years. Holidays. Vacations. etc., best I can.

I also need to decide if I am going back to work or not. And, I need to gain ten pounds.

What it will take is not procrastinating and overthinking it and being an overacheiver. Simple is OKAY!!!!
