Anyone try immunotherapy?

From everything J read it is all investigational but immunotherapy might offer targeted advancements. Caught earlier it might have better results but with HER2 disease we have more targets that we know can work.

All evidence points to my systemic disease being under control until I stopped herceptin in January. My central nervous system provided a safe haven for the disease. That's just 6 months of a chance of systemic disease progression. So far I'm looking at minor bone mets but there may be liver involvement. The liver is an amazing organ though and so starting back on targeted therapies might knock back a big fire. But if I need active tumor for immunotherapies options, one would suppose the sample could be prepared for additional options going forward.

Here are some links Im looking at:

(A bit dire but has some good info)

Re: Anyone try immunotherapy?

Hi Agnes, I have not tried immunotherapy but have been investigating it. I am stage 4 HER2+, er- and pr-. I am still receiving Herceptin and perjeta every three weeks but am NED since April of 2014. I was diagnosed October of 2013 as stage 4 with several lymph nodes and a liver lesion in the dome, a very difficult location to biopsy. Trying hard to stay NED.
