Ginger is working for inflammation :)

Just wanted to share my little experiment. Last November I tweaked my knee jumping on a rebounder. I went to see an orthopedic surgeon, and he told me to stay off of it. Apparently I have a slight tear in my miniscus (sp?). But 3 months later it was hurting, and a physical therapist told me I needed to build up the muscles around the knee rather than rest, so I started doing yoga again. It helped, but the pain was still there.

Well, I knew that ginger is an anti-inflammatory, so I decided to try taking ginger capsules daily. And it really helped! Only when it's really rainy does it bother me now.

Has anyone else ever used ginger to heal an injury?

SDstarfish,

I haven't used it for inflammation, but I've heard that it works. So am very glad that it worked for you.

I see you have a 6 year NED anniversary in a few days, congratulations!
