Hi Everyone

Happy New Year!!! I have been following everyone everyday, just not posting lately. Not much to say I guess. But I continue to hold all of you in my thoughts and prayers through the good and the bad.

I thought I would update you on my very recent scans. I've been on T/X since May and the last scans showed pretty much no cancer activity anywhere. Meaning stable bone spots, lung nodules that haven't changed in 7 years-who knows- and the liver shows no real tumor activity. It just looks beat up, but is functioning well. She made the analogy of having had acne in one's life that leaves scarring and even after the acne is gone it is apparent that it was there-that is my liver. But my chemistries are still normal. So that was great New Year's news.

Also during my visit she discussed what she took away from San Antonio. She was surprisingly excited about the vaccine work and the immunofield-which is a little bit of a switch from comments she made in the past. So that was encouraging.

The other big news, ladies and gents, I MET SOMEONE really special and we have been dating for just a couple of weeks. During Christmas my girls went with their dad to Illinois. That is always sad, but being with this man over the holidays made up for it. It has been like one long week and a half date. I'm very smitten ; as is he.

I met him on-line as I was cancelling my subscription and ready to give up and he was too. He is not at all what I envisioned as the type of guy I'd end up with-looks-wise, but he is so funny, smiley, social, smart and hard working and tough given what he has been through in his icky divorce (WORD-never marry a Nevada judge and get divorced in Vegas where you have lived for 20 years).

He has a healthy attitude on life and it has been great. I never thought this could happen.

Soooo, I'm having a great start to 2008 and wish than for everyone here. I'm so thankful for Joe and Christine and Lani and all of you on this site. It is still the very best place for research and suppport on the net!!! Thank you to all of you and I just love you so much.

Hi Joy,

Even though I don't post much I visit this site everyday. Believe it or not, I was just thinking about you yesterday and wondering how you are doing. Great news about your scans! I hope that 2008 brings you nothing but GOOD news.

I have to comment about the new man in your life and how you said you did not envision him as your type. I was talking to a friend recently about 'types' and we came to the conclusion that perception and reality can be very different. No matter what you envision, your 'type' is the person that makes you laugh and lifts you up. It sounds like you struck gold.

Best wishes for a fantastic 2008!
