?What to do for neuropathy?

Hello,

My wife is currently on T-DM1 and her neuropathy has been getting worse as time goes on. What have you been prescribed or used to treat it? I am especially interested in treatment that reverses(slow, or stabilize) this side effect.

I was going to have her takes glutamine until I read the below article.

Many thanks,

Nguyen

Re: ?What to do for neuropathy?

B complex was recommended to me by my Onc. And it improved greatly However, I was done with my tx. I don't know if this would interfere with your wife's tax. Best bet is to ask your wife's Onc.

Re: ?What to do for neuropathy?

My Onc suggested Lyrica but that comes with lots of possible side effects of its own so I decided against taking it as the Neuropathy wasn't too bad at the time.

Re: ?What to do for neuropathy?

I take 100mg of B6 daily. Mine isn't that bad but I'm afraid to stop taking the B6. I am also post treatment so I'd check with the oncologist as others have suggested

Re: ?What to do for neuropathy?

My onc recommended B6 & B complex. She also recommended L-Carnitine but there is a study recently published that showed it could make neuropathy worse so I dropped that.
