The question was posted regarding order of chemo. I asked my oncologist today and was told Herceptin can be given before or after chemo drugs it doesn't matter. Here they give it first to get it out of the way. Taxol is second and carbo is always last because it can cause an immediate drop with the white cells. If that happens and it has to be stopped then the other 2 is already in the body. Interested in what other say about this. Hugs, Sandy

I'm on Navelbine and Herceptin. And I've had it in both orders. Usually just depends on how fast the blood work comes back from the lab for the Navelbine. I prefer the Herceptin first only so I have more time to "recover" from the Benedryl (pre-med) before heading home.

Love and light to all,

Lisa

Same order as you....herceptin is first while waiting on labs because it doesn't matter if blood counts are low you can still take herceptin, taxol next carbo last.
