Stabbing pains are back

Those damn stabbing pains that I had for the first year after chemo are back. In my liver, gallbladder, rib area. I had almost every test done back then and nothing showed up, it went away. Now it's returned. My oncologist said that my liver enzymes were normal and he really thought it was nothing but would order some scans if it would put my mind at ease. I declined..I get my scans in July. With all that's going on with my brother, I don't feel like going through the scan bit right now. I really am beginning to think it's stress being manifested, maybe giving myself ulcers. I guess I've kind of learned to relax a little now and not freak over weird pains. It takes so long for us to get to feeling like we own our bodies after all this, still working on that one...just venting...sherryg683

Me too. Stabbing pains that is....only I had my gall bladder removed in Dec because of them. They assured me that is what it was.

I had all the tests back then too....normal, normal. Blood tests as well.

I think it is changes from chemo. Either that and I always had them and did not pay attention.

Sorry to say this...but I am glad you have them too. Makes me feel much better.

Sherry,

I am sorry you are going through this. I bet you're right and your symptoms are stress related. Hope you feel better soon.

Still keeping your brother and you in my prayers.

Penelope, we did think it was my gallbladder and had some fancy smancy scan done that would tell you for sure if your gall bladder was bad, it turned out fine. I was actually hoping it would be bad, so I would have an answer. It was really hurting when I was on chemo, the pain was terrible, it's just more annoying now. It is comforting when others have the same problems and it's nothing bad. ...lol..sherryg683

Stress can do terrible things - and God know you have stress. I hope those nasty pains will go away quickly.

Sherry this could well be stress related, maybe try a daily nexium or something similar just in case you have an ulcer starting. I hope whatever it is stops again soon.
