Wink

Thanks, Andi, Winston Churchill and I share a common Birthday "Never give in! Never give in! Never,never,never,never- in nothing great or small, large or petty- never give in except to convictions of honor and good sense." But, please, I'm no angel. I've been called alot of things, but "angelic" has never been one of them, hahaha. Love ya! Bill

Bill:

You owe me an apology for leaving me and grandma to rot in that Canadian hell hole smugglers prison for a year and a half when you could of just taken the beer out of the trunk of the Cadillac Coupe de'Ville, sold it, and bailed us out with the money. But did you? No you didn't. You were too occupied trying to perfect that damn cupcake tree. Okay Mr. Smartypants, where are my cupcakes?

Lee

I don't know if Bill is going to apologize
to you Lee. The first post in this thread is Bill's blanket apology
for everything he's done and will ever do.

Maybe he'll see this as something "special" and say he's sorry,
but I don't think he's truly sorry so it will be a shallow apology.
That's what I think, anyway.

Thank you, Lady Pink. It was my "blanket apology" for all-time. Thanks for helping me to put things in perspective, too. I thought about apologizing to Lee and Grandma, but I didn't really want to, so it would have been a shallow apology. The way I see it, if you give me a trunk-full of beer and ask me to sell it to bail out Lee (I knew grandma was fine, she's tough as nails) I did what anyone in their right mind would do. I called up Lee's girl-friend, we got together, and I gave her a fake note from "Lee", explaining that he didn't want to see her anymore and he was going to tour Canada for 18 months with an older woman he had met at the circus. Lee's girl-friend was distraught, needless to say, but I comforted her in my own special way. "Look at it this way, honey", as I cracked open a beer from Granny's trunk and handed it to her, and we laid back on the hood, gazing skyward, "see that shooting star up there? That's Lee, and see over there, The Big Dipper, that's me. He's outta here, and I'm here to stay" "Do you think he'll ever come back?" "No sweetie, at least not for 18 months. I've done everything I could to help that boy, but it just didn't take" Lee's girl says, "Aw, you are so sweet, trying to help your brother so much." "Well, you know....come on, let's drink up this beer and get the hell outta here...."

Smile I ain't apologizing for nuthin'

Unless I offended someone, or said something stupid - in that case, please just put it in the category of "I meant it out of love". Cuz I do love you all!

And if I WAS going to apologize, where better to do so than on the official "apology" thread!

Thanks for bringing this thread up, Chrisy. No one here should have to apologize for anything, especially if we do something out of love. Who should be expected to remain totally sane and calm with some teeny, tiny cells trying to take our whole body down??

This cancer is the worst kind of "no-see-um" and cortizone spray does not get rid of it!

Hubby 'confirmed' that it was from the movie 'Shindler's List'. One of the staff (prinsoner?) hinted to the killing-maniac commander that it would show more power for him to 'pardon' the prisoners than to 'kill' them.

We quote movie lines at home often because we love to watch movies (besides my reading 'everything' and his reading books on 'Golf' and motivational stuff. )

Of course the most often quoted lines are always: 'Frankly, my dear, I don't give a d...' (from him), 'God is my witness, I will never starve again...' (from me), and 'After all, tomorrow is another day...'(from both of us . The heroine in 'Gone with the wind' was a 'survivor', it's probably fitting to mention it here for us survivors.

Yes, you are right ... that was from Shindler's List!

The line I thought of from Amadeus was different:
[last lines]
[Salieri is wheelchaired through the insane asylum]
Salieri: Mediocrities everywhere... I absolve you... I absolve you... I absolve you... I absolve you... I absolve you all.
I am glad to know someone else loves playing the quote game!

Is it just me?

Thanks Chris for ressurecting this thread. I think this may be the perfect place to make my observation. I'm looking at this as a 'kill two birds with one stone/post two items on one thread' kind of a thing.

Observation: Is it just me, or is Bill looking very Andi-esque in his photo?

Apology: Granted, Andi is much more sophisticated (sorry Bill) but I couldn't help but think of Andi when I first saw Bill's avator (sorry Andi).

You both look great, but I'm just saying.....

Re: Bill's Apology Thread

Hi gang! I'm sorry that I haven't been able to read and respond to very many posts lately, like I want to. I've started a new career a few months ago, and right now all I've got time for is alot of hiring/firing and change-making, but I still think and pray for y'all often. Love, Bill

Wash, and chop some of those veggies you have been growing and throw them into a big pot of liquid. Add some seasonings. Enjoy. All will be well very soon.
Don't worry. TGIF Bill !!!!!!!
