Tykerb/xeloda..no rash?

I have been on this combo and have the split skin on feet and hands and my onc prescribed the 2 drugs mentioned. I have a few blemishes, but no rash on my face does that mean it is not working? Ceesun

Try not to worry...I'm sure it's working.
The blemishes on/across my nose just look like I'm breaking out, nothing major-like I could use a good biore/facial!
I've only been on treatment for <2weeks, and to be totally honest, was hoping to have a RAGING RASH...but, be careful what you wish for! I guess it's just going to be a matter of waiting the appropriate 12 weeks til ScanTime to find out what's really going on inside.
Keep in mind, (I believe) the rash is just an SE that's been documented anectodally to correlate with a positive response - not necessarily that only those with the rash have a positive response.
Maybe that would be a good question for the other folks on the board:

Have you/are you on Tykerb?
How did your disease respond?
Did you have a rash?
If so, how soon after starting Tykerb?
Where & how severe?
What treatment intervention did you use?
