support

Hi
5 yrs ago my sister was diagnosed with secondary breast cancer, we were at a loss and by chance I came across this website. My sister is now dying and she has just given me a thankyou card and a keepsake to remember her by (as if I need anything) this card is as much for Joe, who gave me info on trials in UK, Patty Z for inspiring me to believe we could do something and all you wonderful people who always gave advice or support. The next few weeks will be very difficult but initially we thought her time was much more limited, she has achieved goals we thought were impossible and spent precious time with her young chidren.
Thankyou all
Hannah

Oh, Hannah, I can't even put my mind and heart into your circumstances. How blessed your sister is to have you by her side. I have no sister, my brother died 8 years ago, but I have "adopted" a couple of sisters! I would want them close by me were I to be in your sister's place. My thoughts and prayers are with you both. I'm glad she "stretched her time" with good care and family love. But I so hate this disease that steals precious time from these wonderful warriors. May these last days be filled with an abundance of peace, and a spirit of God's love. It feels so helpless not to be able to help...but I will pray for you both. Much love to you, mary anne

Hannah,

It sounds like your sister is taking care of her remaining wishes with that card and memento for you. I am glad for her that she is able to do these things for her own peace of mind at this stage in her life...

and that extra special message to you, to remind you of what an amazing help you have been to her. I'm sure this has been throughout her life, not just since her diagnosis of breast cancer.

I want to thank you, as well, for coming during this difficult time to let us know what is happening. I had hoped her treatment would be more successful and ofcourse, long lasting.

Please tell your sister that I am thinking of her... as always,
Bless you, Hannah,
with love,
pattyz

what a beautiful post

Thank you Hannah for sharing this. Typing on a computer just won't communicate what I'm feeling for you and your family. I KNOW what a difference you have made in your sister's life and I hope that somehow this brings you peace, a little. I have sister, my only sibling, and I can tell you what she has done for me over the years has made such an amazing a powerful impact. And makes me appreciate what a deep loss you both are experiencing. I'm holding you both in a very special place of warmth and love. And maybe you can drop us a post sometime and tell us how you are.

Hi Hannah,
My thoughts are with you and your sister. I applaud you for the care and understanding that you have given to her. My sister lives far away, but has continued to be supportive and we have become closer as a result.
Those who support us are also heroes.
Best regards,
Barbara H.

Hannah,

My prayers are with you at this time. I'm just lost for words for you and your family. We have lost so many wonderful ladies to this disease, it makes me so angry sometimes.

Lots of peace to you in the coming weeks.

Thinking of you

Hannah, my heart goes out to you all. I'm glad you have found this site, and have gained so much over the past few years from your friendships with people here, by the sounds of it, and that you can turn to us when you most need to. I can see how much everyone cares for you. You know that having you in her life must mean so very much to your sister. I wish for a peaceful, loving time for you, your sister and everyone who loves her. I will be keeping you all in my thoughts.
Love
Caroline

Dear Sweet Hannah,

What a wonderful sister you are. I am so sorry that you and your sister have to experience this saddness with each other BUT something tells me you both have experienced much happiness and joy on this journey as well.

I understand the sister bond as I, too, have a sister I am very close too. We are only 15 months apart and are best friends.

May God hold you both close. May He give you both Peace and Joy as your sister's journey Home is fast approaching.

May God's Peace surround you today.

Mary Jo
