tykerb studies for nonmetastatic bc?

Hi. I am wondering if anyone knows of any studies using tykerb or vaccines as an adjuvant therapy for her2 + breast cancer. Thank you for any information you can give. Melissai

Melissa,

I understand that GSK may be filing with the FDA for adjuvant trials before the end of the year.

tykerb

Is for metastatic bone bc that has spread to tissue. Bone mets does not count. If mets to brain, there is a special study for this. Right now Tykerb is available under compassionate use program in many cities. If it is not available in your city then you have to go to another city where a clinic is participating. I just started the drug and the nurses at the clinic seem to think it is a miracle. so do I

Sitkarose,

Here's hoping that the Tykerb is all you needed. The women on this site who are taking Tykerb have all had remarkable results with it. Keep us posted.
