Gabbing doctors don't help patients....

I found this interesting since I was just telling my surgeons main nurse I am *tired* of my surgeon wasting what little time I have for my appt. He never directly answers me and goes off on some story about his family. I find it frustrating. Now I find this story. So, for those that *might* be interested.

Smile Friendly onc

(I think I've seen the same guy!) But then my original onc was worse in a way because no matter what questions I had he wouldn't answer them and he wasn't at all talkative.

There is a doc I see now and then who is a bit like that and whenever I am going to see him I type up a list of the questions I absolutely want answered and give it to the nurse who checks me in, asking her to give it to him so he can read it before he sees me. It has worked every time.

My plastic surgeon was like that. I knew everything there was to know about her son, her dad, her husband, her hair, you name it. Drove me nuts! I felt like I couldn't get a word in edgewise! I had to bring a list of my questions just to be sure I got a chance to ask them.
