To much radiation??

Has any one here ever had radiation poisoning from to many tests. I have worried about this often. How many is to many. What does it do to you. I have had 3 bone scans in the last 10 months. Plus the 4 mri, 3 xrays, 1 ct 1 mamm. Not to mention all of the test in my first year!

Thank you for any info.

Your friend,

Nancy

Re: To much radiation??

Hi Nancy,

Below is the link to a chart which might answer your question. Please check with your doctor's office or the hospital to find out if you need to be concerned with the amount of radiation you've received.

You can also search (eg. Wikipedia) information on each procedures - I know MRIs are very safe and Ct carries perhaps the highest amount of radiation.
