"Mediterranean Diet" should be extreemly efficient at blocking HER expression

More evidence pointing to the importance of balancing the omega threes and sixes and getting some nine.

Also Rhonda found and posted on the other section the second item which suggest that other chemicals (phenols) in VIRGIN olive oil ADD to the effect possibly reversing herceptin resistance. I felt it was well worth reposting here.

Please discuss dietary changes with your doctor.

ABSTRACT
"it is reasonable to suggest that a low omega-6/omega-3 PUFA ratio and elevated MUFA levels, the two prominent "fat features" of the "Mediterranean diet", should be extremely efficient at blocking HER2 expression in breast cancer cells."

"Olive oil's bitter principle (i.e., oleuropein aglycone) is among the first examples of how selected nutrients from an EVOO-rich "Mediterranean diet" directly regulate HER2-driven breast cancer disease."
