Joe & Dr. Slamon's wife at SACBS - photo
Good afternoon everyone -
I came across this photo of our dear departed Joe and Dr. Dennis Slamon's wife. This was taken at the San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium maybe in 2004 or 2005.
Anyway Slamon's wife is holding an award given to her husband for presenting the William McGuire Memorial Lecture at that conference.
I attended that lecture with some of the other ladies from this group. We sat in the middle of the front row right in front of the lecturn.
A little later Mrs. Slamon came by our booth.

Yes, belles.
I think there still is a lot of interest in how we have managed to to rise to the top like nice cream in raw milk.
We have moved from the worst prognosis to somewhere in the middle of the whole breast cancer pack, and maybe improving from there.
