Smile 6 year survivor

I felt a need to post on this web site. In 2000 I was diagnosed with her-2 positive breast cancer. A 4.5 centimeter mass was removed as well as 14 lymphs, all positive. I was given the oportunity to be one of the first women to go on a clinical trial for herceptin. I have been blessed and want other women to know the survival is possible. I feel strange saying survival when I feel its more than just surviving. I am blessed with a closer relationship with my family and a greater appreciation for life. Yes treatment is difficult at times but when all is said and done it is so worth it. Sunday I will see my daughter graduate from college, a child who was only 15 at my diagnosis-how can it be better.
