Smile 3 years out

I just read Michelle's post at 5 years out and I am encouraged to think I will be there before long. When I was in treatment I never thought I would get through it let alone be 3 years out. I can now look forward to life after cancer. I still think of my life as though I still have cancer with me, but I now do not let it rule me. I know we all have the chance of it coming back but I do not dwell on the posibility as I once did. I hope all of you that are new to this will take heart in the fact that you too can get to this place even when it seems impossible.

Good to know, Alice. I sometimes wonder if I will ever feel free from the B.C. monster on my back!

How do you ever get to that place? I am 2 years and 3 mos out and can't seem to move forward to that place. Every time I think I have, I get a new symptom that needs to be checked out. It's great that you have moved forward.
