herceptin and swollen ankles

i have swollen ankles , right is far worse than left. I talk to my oncolologist and he says it is chemo, not herceptin. I have been off chemo since 12 July 10. my ankle was not swollen 3 weeks ago when i got my last herceptin, but in 2 days it was swollen again.
is it common to have swollen ankles and lower legs with herceptin? I dont want to stop it. I nEED this drug! but my heart function is great and i am not short of breath. Your comments and experiences are appreciated, bonita

Re: herceptin and swollen ankles

I don't know whether this is normal or not but I too noticed just yesterday that my ankles look swollen. I'm on my way to herceptin treatment right know and will inquire. Not sure what drug may be causing this with the many that I'm currently on. (herceptin, TCH, Tykerb). I'll be sure to let you know what my medical staff says.
