xango juice

Has anyone every heard of the anti-oxident, all natural, Xango Juice. It is made with many fruits and no added sugar, just natural sugars in fruit. The main fruit is mangosteen not to be confused with a mango.

Hi, I have heard of it. I have been taking it for awhile now off and on. I am still not too sure of all the claims that they make...but a family friend's granddaughter had breast cancer refused conventional therapy and had mega doses of mangosteen and the tumor disappeared....Now these people are creditable so I guess I believe them, I don't know I guess I am somewhat skeptical....One thing for sure is that I did notice an increase in energy as well as extra body odour.. which apparently means it is working at detoxing the body. It certainly can't hurt..although if going through chemo I think antioxidants are a no-no. Ralph Moss has a report on it and he believes that pomegante juice has the same value.

cancerdecisions.com type mangosteen in search box.

Take care,
Tammy

someone was telling me about it the other day and gave me some pamphlets to read. As i am a bit of a sceptic it will probably take a bit to convince me!

why are antioxidents a no no during chemo and who said they are? asked my oncologist today about coq10 during treatments and he said fine and I know he is a great doc, highly regarded by sloan kettering and md anderson. thanks for your answers about mangosteen and i will definitely check out that site.

Hi,

I guess during chemo and rads they are trying to kill cells. The anti-oxidants protect cells. I think they do not want you to offer the cancer cells any protection. I don't think they said anything during chemo, as I wasn't taking supplements, but during radiation they specifically said no anti-oxidants. Hope this helps, Bev

I read that the Xango mangosteen Juice has copper in it. Doesn't copper promote tumours?

Do they really know how radio therapy works at a cellular level.

Why are antoxidants bad with RT.

Any enlightening trials or articles wold be welcome.

From my reading on fats the role of "oxdation" is comlplex and seems to have impacts in both directions dependant on the fats involved.

I have also seen a suggestion that RT may impact on fat synethsis which would put it in common with Herceptin, Tamoxifen and possible soem chemos.
