Powerlines? Please any insights...

Hi All,

I have googled and got confused about how bad it is to live near power lines. We live reasonably close and I am trying to buy a gauss meter to measure it just in case...

But, can you please share your thoughts on this...

hugs,
shobha

Shobba,

If you call your power company they will usually (at least here in Pa) send out a rep with a meter to show you the amount of EMFs you are receiving at given locations from the lines. They drop off considerably as you walk away from the lines carrying the juice.

Thanks Laurel! I will call our PG&E here and request for a measurement for my peace of mind. Would hate to add one more thing to ever growing list of possible cancer causing agent!
