Revised Guidelines Say Most Women Can Begin Mammograms At Age 50

Most women should begin routine mammograms to screen for breast cancer at age 50, not 40 as previously recommended, according to new guidelines from the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force that aim to reduce harm from overtreatment, the New York Times reports.
