I just posted earlier this week that I had good news of stable ct & pet scans for bone mets. And so I enjoyed a day or 2 of being more at ease.

NOW today I am facing another issue with a whole new scare of brain mets. A month ago I had cataract surgery on my right eye. In the 1st week after surgery my vision was much better (20/40). Eye specialist was pleased. In the last couple of weeks I noticed that vision in that eye wasn't as clear. Today at my post-op exam he confirmed that my vision was worse (20/60). Not extremely worse, but I should be better & he can find no reason for it. Eye exam looks normal, nerve, muscles, swelling, all normal. He says he doesn't "suspect" anything, but ct of brain is the next step. The other eye shows no change. I have no other symptoms, headache, dizziness, etc.

I'm scared now of brain mets. And I will have to wait over another weekend to get results.

Anyone have similar vision problem in one eye? and was it brain mets?

Thanks. Pam

Pam, Why not MRI? CT would show, but understand MRI is recommended for brain.
Hang in there, could be something else, best to ck out.
Make sure to see the scans with your doc. I didn't in Jan. 04, (he only looked at report) 1cm brain met then, now 3.6cm. Had no symptoms til about 3 wks ago, pressure headaches that would come & go. Wake up in a.m. with one some.
Positive thoughts to you. Velva

The best is a brain MRI. I had a metal expander so we could not do a MRI (a while ago) so I think we did the CT scan but my Dr. really was no convinced until I had the MRI. He said it is not really the right test for brain mets which I have had.
