Packed and ready to meet up with Audrey!

I'm leaving in the am for Jacksonville FLorida for the Young Survivors Coalition confrence. I'm meeting up with Audrey from Ohio. We have not seen each other for over a year!! I can't tell you how this makes me feel!! When i met her for the first time 5 years ago, I finally felt a part of something. We met on this board and she will be my best friend for life. I will post pictures when i come back. I'm sure i will also learn some great stuff to share with you all. (Hope my airplane doesn't get hit by the falling satellite!) Ha Ha

Hey Michelle,

Have a wonderful time at the conference. I have yet to make one, but would like to attend. I need to get over the fear of flying by myself!

Hugs,
Lexi

Michele

I could feel your joy jumping off the page! I think it is so cool that you met your bestest friend on this board! Your post inspired me to say 'thank you' to Christine and Joe, something I've been meaning to do for a while.

I hope you and Audrey have way too much fun!!

All the best,
Jade

Dear Michele -

I know you will have the BEST time in Florida. You can use the change in weather, huh?!?! Give Audrey a big hug for me.

Did you see the eclipse of the moon last night. It was PERFECT here.

And they did manage to get the falling staillite shot down so no worries about that one. It was supposed to fall over OUR state anyway!

I'm excited for you Michele and Audrey. How cool! I know I have "mentored" a few women and we have become close. One lives in CA and I will be meeting her this Fall. We've been communicating for almost 2 years now and I feel like we've known each other forever. I met another woman 2 weeks ago ( a woman my hospital asked me if I would contact) She sings in a contemporary Christian band (my absolute favorite kind of music) and we hit it off right from the start. She had her mastectomy today (negative lymph nodes PRAISE THE LORD) and we plan on meeting in the next few months. She lives about 2 1/2 hours from me.

So, I understand that feeling Michele. You know................... breast cancer can be nasty I KNOW........but, I'll tell you what..........I've met some of the most awesome people since my journey began (and that includes this group as well) and I wouldn't trade that for anything.

"All things truly do work for good....................."

Mary Jo

P.S. Forgive my rambling........geez, I wanted to tell you how happy I was for you and ended up sharing my life story - haha OOPS
