Scans Coming up

Never gets old, does it? My wife(Kathy) scans are coming up this Friday. Is it me or does your body turn cold for a week before. I hate, hate, hate and hate this part. They need to invent the home insta scanner. She has been feeling well, other than over worked. This is 6 months on Herceptin alone now. You just never know. I just want her to have a break for a while. Sorry for ranting, just need to sometimes.

Kathy : StageIV, mets to bones and some nodes, mascetomy, ACT first time, aridimex for 2 years, Carboplatin, Taxol, Heceptin and Zometa second time for lung and liver( gone for now) . Herceptin and Zometa last 6 months. Diagnosed Jan 2002.

Thanks

John

John,

The home insta scanner is the best idea I have heard in a long time.. I am hopeful that everything will be just fine for Kathy.

Much Love

John,

I know that when I'm due for my scans I get extremely nervous, anxious, and irritated. It is just a reminder that no matter how good you feel or look you still have this dreadful disease. Here's hoping that Kathy's scans are clear. Please keep us posted.

John,

I am feeling Kathy's pain! I have my first scan since my diagnosis tomorrow because I have been having pain in my bones. Please let Kathy know that I am thinking of her and saying a prayer.

Hugs,
Lexi

John,

We wish Kathy a clean report!

...that wasn't ranting, that was completely rational. You've described it perfectly. It is an anxious time, to be sure. Let us know how she does. (and you too)

Thank you for being Here

John, how I hear you! Mine are the day after Xmas. I'm trying to wrap myself in the holiday hectics, but I cry daily just thinking about them. I'm on Herceptin alone too and I imagine that every creak in my body is the BC running rampant. It's the most stomach churning thing I can think of and having to do it every 3 months for at least a year.....ugh! Please let Kathy know she'll be in my prayers Friday and I wish for her clean scans this time and many, many more!

Oh yea, those scans are hell. I get mine every 3 months (i had 2 small lung mets). Just had them done the beginning of this month. It is sure nice when they come back clean. Mine report said "no sign of reoccurance or metastasis" ...boy did I ever do a happy dance. But yes, I start getting nervous a couple of weeks before scans, then I go almost nutty right before and until I get them. ..sherryg683
