Welcome New Members

Most of you were made aware of our support group through the latest issue of Cure Magazine. We wish to welcome all of you to our little corner of the internet.

The HER2 Support Group was the vision of Christine Druther a cancer survivor who was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1990 and suffered a recurrence in 1999 with mets to her clavicle and several metastatic brain tumors. In 2001 she was declared to be in full remission after treatment with Taxol, Herceptin, Gamma Knife and WBR.

She launched this website on Christmas Eve, 2001 with the philosophy of "no woman can do it alone". The HER2 Support Group is a group effort. All of us here are willing to share our knowledge and experiences to help the newly diagnosed weave their way through the healthcare system.

We are here to answer your questions, help you with your concerns, share your joys and your setbacks. We will arm you with the tools to make you a full partner in making your treatment decisions instead of just a patient.

Warmest Regards and WELCOME TO YOU ALL.

Joe

Joe, You and Christine are so appreciated by all who use this board. This board offers women the chane to vent, cry, gain moral support, and best of all acquire the knowledge necessary to help them in their decision to fight this horrible disease.
