Prayer for cure
Dear All,
I have read many posts on this website and came to know about lot of new trials and medications. But, ultimately what it comes down to is , there's still no cure . Very low % of success stories. Herceptin may be good , revolutionary but then it's still not the solution. Sometimes , I feel may be science is not looking at the right direction to find cure for this dreadful disease. May be there's a solution somewhere else.
Herceptin may work for some time but, the fear never goes away. There's no single test that can say "You are cured !!!" . I am sorry to write this but to me this is the fact.
May be we should all fix one time on daily basis and pray together to God to help these doctors and scientists find a cure for this disease. May be when one strong unified paryer goes to the cosmos it will have a stronger effect. It's just a thought, feel free to give your opinion either way.

Always
Sammy, I have prayed for a cure for as long as I can remember, back to when I was a child and my Dad was battling his first of three different cancers that he would have to deal with over his lifetime. I always knew in my heart that it would be cancer that took him from me, and it did.
But I must say that I believe that the developments of the many new treatment options are in fact, the results of the prayers of many over the years. I will continue to pray regularly for the answers to the problem. I suspect that many a scientist does a bit of praying themselves. Some of these people devote their entire lifespan to the search for an end to cancer. I happen to be of the belief that they are much closer than many of us realize. It may be a two edged sword though, for the families of those lost to cancer. I remember how I felt when a drug that was in clinical trials at the time of my Dad's illness, went on to be found effective and received FDA approval shortly after he died. I felt as if we were both running for a train, and missed it at the last minute as it pulled away from the station.
Anyway, keep the faith, and pray as long and hard as you can. He will take us to the Promisewd Land when he is good and ready. Take care.
Tom

Glad to see that we all believe in miracle of prayers. I am not sure where everybody lives but I live on east coast. Considering other zones I thought that 11:00 a.m. EST should work out. I know it will be a little early for some of us but it just takes few minutes for a sincere prayer.
Even if you just take a minute , just pray with all your heart and feelings and I am sure it will be heard.
If this time is not suitable , please send your opinion and we can change it. I am willing to wake up even in the middle of the night and pray. Let's do it daily. I am going to start it today. I have always prayed but I guess when we ask for the samething together , at the same time , it should help.

Count me in. Although I am in the west coast, it might be easier to remember if it's 12:00 noon EST.
P.S.
Sheila,
I also pray to Saint Peregrine daily. I actually have his image and prayer in front of my computer.

20 yrs.
To All,
I have a friend who is a 20 yr.survivor who has said this prayer everyday - I would love to share it with you...it helped her greatly esp. when going through chemo.....
"My Son forget not my laws (my words). Let them not depart from your eyes.
Keep them in the midst of your heart. For they are life to those that find
them and health and healing to all their flesh."
Proverbs 4:30
Proverbs 4:22
(Jesus said)
"If you abide in me and my words abide in you.
You shall ask for whatever you want and you shall
have it."
Jean
