My onc. recommends a good daily multivitamin. I've read that extra vitamin intakes might not be a good during chemo..... might interfere, but I'm not an expert. Vitamins/supplements - what & how much is good - or harmful - seems to be a controversial subject.

Dear no name,
After talking with specialists and lots of reading, I realize that no one really knows the answer to this. You'll get varying opinions. The most concensus I've found is that if you choose to take antioxidants during treatment, do NOT do so directly around chemo day. So wait a couple of days after and stop a couple of days before. But who knows?

Love and light,

Lisa

My onc. also only recommends I take a multi-vitamin daily. But since my vitamin does not contain iron, I take an iron tablet daily with only 18mg, the recommended dose for 100% daily intake. The only other thing I take is extra calcium because I have bone mets and 2 teaspoonsful of flax seed. All this have been approved by my onc. Hope this is helpful.
