restless legs

I'm on Adriamycin, Cytoxan, and Neulasta shots. Had restless legs at night before treatment, but was able to control with meds. My meds are doing nothing now. Having bad sleepless nights. Anyone else had this problem with chemo and Neulasta? What have you done to help it?
Thanks, LynnC

What meds are you taking for it? there is a med for restless legs called requip. Don't know much about it but my doc offered it to me. I couldn't sleep at all though so I take ambien and don't even notice the restless legs anymore.

I was taking benedryl with taxol/herceptin and had pretty severe restless legs. My nurses told me it was from the benedryl. Sure enough it stopped when I stopped taking behedryl. Perhaps ask about no benedryl, or a lower dose if you are taking it premeds.

Thanks for the replys. Here's a little more info. I'm not taking Benedryl. I've tried Ambien, Lunesta, Requip (use to help before the chemo), Ativan. Have used the Ambien or Lunesta in combination with Requip and Ativan with no results. Ambien use to give me a good night sleep, but not anymore. Lunesta did nothing.

Thanks, LynnC

Lynn,

I had tried lunesta and it didn't work for me. I then tried ambien - it was okay at times. Now I take Ambien CR and it works great.

I take a very small dose of Klonipin for the restless legs. Its a problem I've had a long time and nuerologist had me taking Miraprex but after chemo it got worse and stopped working for me. I went to my family doc. He took me off of the Miraprex and put me on 0.25 Klonipin at bedtime. I understand its addictive but I don't think a single small dose at bedtime will get you hooked and it certainly has helped me. BERTA
