Kathy S. In Tokyo has her wing's

This is an email I got on another group of mine. I have copied and pasted it.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

It is with a heavy heart that I have to inform all Kathy's supporters that we've just heard that she passed away this
evening. We are not sure of the exact details yet but it was around 6 pm Tokyo time. We
will update further when we know. Patricia is speaking to Kathy's parents.

To all of Kathy's family, please accept our heartfelt condolences. Kathy touched so many
people, probably more than she ever realized. Few people had her gift of connecting with
so many.

Let's take comfort in the thought that Kathy had a happy few weeks with her father and older brother,
and they were able to enjoy each other's company. And after her father left, Kathy's sister-in-law came to help care for her.
It seems this was Kathy's wish, as she liked and got on well with Kazuko. So in the end, things were as Kathy wanted them to be.
She spent her last weeks with her family, and Kathy's family meant the world to her. She is free from the pain now
and at peace.

Please keep her children in your thoughts and prayers, as it must be incredibly hard for them right now.

Kathy, Godspeed. We love you.

I am so sorry. Mothers shouldn't pass away when their kids are so young.
Glad she is no longer in pain.
May she rest in peace

This is such sad news. I didn't expect it. I thought I saw her active on Skype recently, but I couldn't connect with her, because I was busy doing something else on the computer. Kathy was a wonderful person. You are right Lien. Mothers shouldn't pass away before their children. Kathy is watching over them from heaven.
I will say a prayer for Kathy's family. If someone has a way we can offer our sympathies to her family please let us know.

Re: Kathy S. In Tokyo has her wing's

Was thinking about our brain mets girls and Kathy came to mind the other day.
Not having seen her here was a bit of a red flag, but sometimes it does not seem appropriate to contact someone.

She was like a mama tiger when it came to her children - they will have wonderful memories of her. (Remember Tiptoe's visit to Kathy in Japan?)

Fly high dear sister.

Re: Kathy S. In Tokyo has her wing's

I'm so sorry to hear the news. For those who are not familiar with Kathy's story, here's her last posting (11-01-2009) and her signature (treatment history):

Chrisy, I needed this message today. Thank you! Angela, I hope you get those lung mets under control. I've trying to keep doing work as usual to make myself feel normal but I realized I was draining energy that I'd rather be enjoying elsewhere so I'm on a break. Changing tracks but continuing...

Gods speed --- gosh I hate this flipping disease!

If tears help - well, I don't feel that great when they spill out for our sisters and brothers who lose this fight before our eyes.....

She is in a better place - maybe she'll come back for her next life and cure this thing for all next time! :-)
