Re: Do Omega-3 supplements disrupt sleep?

Well I've been sleeping better now that I've taken the capsule before 11 a.m. I slept much better last night and wanted to mention that Becky brings up a good point about CoQ-10 being a possible contributor to a more sleepless night. Now that I think of it, I've been taking Solaray's Red Yeast Rice with CoQ-10 (and it has reduced my cholesterol from 217 to 198. Yea!) and I was splitting those two pills in the a.m. and midafternoon, so that could also have been part of it. Thanks, everyone, for joining in on this. Making a simple adjustment in the time of day I take these two supplements is helping.

Vicki

I've also been taking my supplement before 11:00 a.m. the past few days and the effect has been nothing short of miraculous - I've had 7 - 71/2 hours of basically uninterrupted sleep. No trouble falling asleep either.

all the best

Re: Do Omega-3 supplements disrupt sleep?

HI Caya

Thanks for the observation.

Have you been taking Omega 3 for a while?

Does the oil have any Vit A or D - I have no idea if vit A or D are factors but used to be present in greater quantities in fish oil.

Re: Do Omega-3 supplements disrupt sleep?

R.B.

I have been taking Omega 3 for about 2 years. It is a 1000 mg. capsule, -EPA 300 mg. DHA 200 mg. No vitamin A or D in the capsule, but I take a multivitamin daily which has 1,000 IU Vit. A, plus 500 U of Vitamin D3. I take an additional 4,000 units of Vitamin D3.
I also take Glucosamine Chondroitin, Calcium, Magnesium,Vitamin C, Cranberry Supplement, Curcurmin, Potassium (due to low potassium because of a diuretic I have been taking for about 25 years).

all the best
