Smile Re: Lee's BIG BIG BIG Quiz Thread

Good morning all of you quiz answering fools. It's been awhile since we've
been challenged so I will make this an easy one.

I don't think Vickie is feeling up to participating so I will answer for her ...
California is Vickie's answer for every question

1. In what desert is Las Vegas found?

2. Where is Old Faithful?

3. Name the Canadian city by the Badlands.

4. The name of the San Francisco Coast.

5. Where is Craters of the Moon?

6. Where are the Dry Falls?

7. Where is the Katmai National Monument?

8. It has tide variations of 52 feet/16 metres.

1. Las Vegas is in a moral and cultural desert.

2. Old Faithful is in Yellowstone National Park in the northwest corner of Wyoming.

4. San Fransisco is on the Barbary Coast.

5. The moon? Okay, maybe it is Craters of the Moon National Park in Southeast Idaho.

6. Dry Falls tumble down the Dry River?

7. Katmai National Monument is on the Katmai Peninsula in Alaska.

8. Would this be the Bay of Fundy?

Gerri ... #6 is correct but the Alberta answer isn't. But you're close.

Mojave is correct. Another check mark for Lee etc.

Still looking for the name of the city/town for the Craters of the Moon
and the location of the Dry Falls.

Re: Lee's BIG BIG BIG Quiz Thread

There are two small towns near Craters of the Moon National Monument, Carey and Dun Geep, Idaho. The nearest large towns (at least by Idaho standards) are Pocatello and Twin Falls.

Dun Geep is so small it has a sign printed 'Entering Dun Geep' on both sides of the sign.

Oh and you told Geri she was correct about Dry Falls being near Grand Coullee, Washington. My mom was born in Grand Coullee, and before anyone goes all crazy on me, I actually have a mom! So there!

Wink Re: Lee's BIG BIG BIG Quiz Thread

You're right Lee etc. Gerri got the Dry Falls answer.

My sources, Google, give me the name of a city/town
for the Craters of the Moon Monument that you haven't
mentioned. Tell me if you want me to give you the answer.

6. The first spin-off from Happy Days was Laverne and Shirley. What were the other two?

7. According to Mrs. Cunningham, who did Jenny Piccalo date?

8. What kind of store did Mr. Cunningham own?

9. What high school did Richie, Ralph, and Potsie attend?

10. How worked at Bronko's Garage?

11. What was Joanie's middle name?

12. What item from the show hangs in the Smithsonian Museum?

13. What nickname did Fonzi give to Joanie?

14. How did Potsie get his nickname?

15. What were the names of Ralph Malph's parents?

16. What is Fonzi's middle name?

17. What 1969 show did Happy Days originate as a segment from?

18. What was Arnold's real name? Why did he adopt the name Arnold?

19. What two members of the band The Monkees auditioned for the role of Fonzi?
