Hi Karina,

That was a GREAT post! I am stage 4 and deal with the reality you describe. It is like I live in two worlds - Cancerland and the parallel universe that feels more like my old life. The one where people worry about bad hair cuts and bad paper cuts.

I am glad that you had such an excellent vacation. It sounds like you packed it all in. Is this the way you have always lived? Have you always lived so adventurously?

It sounds like you have done what a very wise person would do. Take the new hope of the vaccine trial and run with the experience. Enhance every part of your soul and immerse yourself in the joy and experience of life. I would consider this complimentary therapy!

Congratulations on your scan results and your excellent trip!

Love, Hope, and Peace,

Carolyns

Hi All,

Yes Suzan and Steph it would be great to meet when I am back down again, I'll email you to arrange.

Steph I am sorry that you have still so much on your plate with your father. It was great speaking to you last time, you are a source of inspiration how you have been fighting and a good source of advice; otherwise yes it is still my number (and I still have yours). No I have not visited the campus yet.

Carolyn thanks for the encouragement, yes life at the mo is still very up and down I guess I am still adjusting to the relatively recent diagnosis and I have only been off chemo recently. Otherwise yes I suppose I have been travelling quite a bit in my life. At the moment with the high sterling vs Dollar it makes it relatively cheap to travel round the US (in real term everything is around 50% cheaper than here), so it is quite lucky and yes the vaccination is a great source of hope.

Today I left the wig at home!! it is the first time that I am walking around without it, it feels great! I only have few mm on top but I think it does not look to bad (with a lot of make up!)

Best wishes to all,
Karina
