Late Start

Robin, I started Herceptin 2 years 2 months after my last chemo treatment. I, too, didn't want to always wonder "what if." My doctor agreed to let me take it.
I understand where you are coming from. Don't you just wonder if the doctors were faced with a decision such as this, wouldn't they also take the "Herceptin" option?? I think many would.

Yes, I do and I think we that have the disease see this issue in an entire different light than these doctors. It makes me very upset that they have denied us Herceptin and have not told us specifically why. Outrageous, I'm angry.I will be seeing my local oncol. about late Herceptin next week and I intent to see if the medical community will finally address late Herceptin at the San Anto.Breast Conf. Dec 8.
