Chemo on Right side

It might not apply here, but she opted for the masectomy to be extra safe. it may be that her sentinel node biopsy came back clean and they didn't need to do the node disection? - I don't know, I missed a little of the beginning. If you don't have the node disection, you can use your arm as normal, I believe.

I had SNB node neg. They still do everything on the other arm. I guess your chances of side effects are reduced but not obliterated with only SNB. BB.

I watched it again last night and I also noticed that they gave her the chemo on the affected side....just goes to show you that we are all smarter than the movie makers!

Kelly A,

I had my axillary nodes removed and have full use of my arm. As a matter of fact, immediately after surgery I had full use of the arm. With any mastectomy the most important thing is to move the arms.

Oh, so glad that I got to watch the end of the movie last night when it aired again. It really had a nice positive ending. I also loved the tattoo-beautiful heart and angel wings in place of a nipple.
