Tonya, sorry about the news that must have your head spinning. I am praying that the Tykerb/Xeloda is that magic potion for you as it has been for others. I am confused. A rash can be a sign of breast cancer. How do you biopsy that?

Snufi, a rash developed on my breast a year after treatment. Now a have some rash areas on my back. The drs do a punch biopsy where they take a little bit of skin and look at it.

Mary Anne, Thanks for thinking of me. I am staying close to home as my body is still adjusting to the xeloda/tykerb combo. Only problem is both kids are in a play this weekend so I will be bringing the imodium with me.

Dear Tonya,
I. too, had those mets on my back 4 years ago. I took taxol and avastin and did radiation all at the same time to wipe them out. Please don't worry, I know this isn't the news you wanted (and I'm sorry for that) but I feel you still have a lot of options and I always believe in prayer and miracles. Hang in there, sweet sister, things are going to be OK. Much love, vickie
