Phytoestrogens and Change in ER status

Where I was diagnosed 6 years ago, I was ER+/PR+, Her2+++. When I recurred 6 months ago, the ER receptor was now negative. Because of the ER+ status, I took no phytoestrogen supplements. I ate soy and flax food products. Now that the status has changed, what are your thoughts? Should I start with a flaxseed / flaxoil regimen? I purchased them, but I can't bring myself to start.

Thanks for your help.

I cannot give you an answer to your question, but the role of flax etc in BC has been discussed at length on this site. If you use the search engine you should find the posts. There are trials cited and arguments for and against. I suggest you print them out and discuss them with your advisors. Views do seen to be moving to a position that the phytoestrogens in flax occupy ER receptors so stopping other less benign uses, but I am afraid currently there are no definative answers.

Flax seed will help with omega three levels, provides fibre soluble and insoluble etc.
