Results of Thyroid biopsy

The results of the fine needle aspiration biopsy that I had on the nodule on my thyroid states: "few follcular cells and red blood cellls seen
Favor benign thyroid nodule" The volume measured was 10 CC and there were 6 slides.

That sounds good but hope I am not missing something.

Actually 10 to 50% of the general population have benign thyroid nodules.
I have one and have not had it biopsied nor do I plan to have it checked further.

The CT scan described it as a 7 mm mass. Would that be a nodule or something other than a 'nodule' or are they one and the same?
