Becky, thanks so much for posting this. I have been searching for some kind of link to an immune response and bc. This information, in conjunction with the posts in the Urticaria thread: http://her2support.org/vbulletin/sho...eferrerid=1173
really gives some food for thought.

Even better - I am so behind on my reading is the July, 2007 issue of Scientific American. The article is called "The Malignant Flame" by Gary Stix. It is about how basically the immune system gets hijacked by cancer or other disease situation via - the INFLAMMATION PATHWAYS!!! The article did not reference fatty acids but did go into cancer as wound healing gone array. How cutting out portions of cancer for biopsy can cause metastatis. Very interesting. I was hoping to be able to post a link but the Scientific American site is down right now. Anyway, you may be able to still purchase the magazine.

PS - adding this on Aug 2 - the article is not free. You can purchase the magazine issue or the article to read (online).

Unsurprising to one who has been clucking on about fats and the inflammatory pathways.
