Diet - macrobiotics, etc.

I am in the middle of treatment (just finished chemo and surgery and will start radiation in one month) for stage iv lobular, her2neu positive bc with mets to the skin and bones (spine and pelvis). I started Herceptin in Aptil and have applied to the University of Washington trials.

I am wondering if, in addition to standard treatment, any long-term or short-term survivors are having or have had success with a macrobiotic or modified macrobiotic diet. I've read many encouraging stories on the Macro Breast Cancer Survivors website and am considering adding this to my treatment.

I'd love to hear from anyone who has tried this approach.

The post on "Greek Diet" may be of interest.

Please also see posts on omega three and six.

Many books on diet have similar core themes.
