2 new spots on liver - anyone use doxil?

Hi all. The CAT came back and unfortunately it seems that there's 2 new spots on Caryn's liver. I didn't speak to the Onc but it appears that pinpoint options (RFA, freezing, etc) are out for now and he's leaning heavily toward Doxil and considering a trial that he's read about that boosts your immune system while on chemo. Has anyone had any success on Doxil? What side effects? I'm feeling really sad right now since a part of me was really hoping it was still limited to one small spot and a procedure was an option. Like so many of you incredibly brave woman (and men), Caryn needs a break.
