Reflections of MIRAVAL SPA
Hello Everyone -
Have wanted to share a few pics from our Miraval Spa trip in the beginning of Jan. We had a couple of mother/daughter teams and me and Chrisy. We shared some great times and meals together. Here are some photos from our sunset photography walk.
L -Karen (Still Here) and her daughter Nikki.
R -Sherri and her daughter, Jasmine.
Below - Karen, Chrisy, Sherri, Steph - after a very satisfying dinner!
Lower right - Chrisy enjoys the fire - with our Miraval tote bags.
One of the pools - overlooking the Catalina Mountains.

OK - Lily -
I finally figured out how to add photos and get them the right size.
Glad you like them.
Dinning area and terrace at sunset.
One of the peaceful ponds with palm trees reflected.

Helpful spa treatments
I should also mention how much GOOD we were getting from our very professional practitioners and the availability of so many activities. They even offered cooking classes, as well as hiking, biking, experiences with horses, golf, dance aerobics, pools, fully equiped gym, classes in various aspects of well-being, and on and on ...
I had some major improvement from a couple of my treatments. Especially the cranial-sacral I had on the last morning we were there. This treatment works to move cerebral spinal fluid. I have had trouble with that since my head surgeries. After that treatment I no longer have the ringing tones in my head (tinnitis) and the puffiness in my face and neck has FINALLY subsided. Meaning that I look more like myself. People think I have lost weight!
Another treatment I could feel into the NEXT day was a detox marine bath and head and neck massage. The algae bath really stimulated my pores and tissues. I bought the product to bring back nome and have had a couple of "baths" in my own tub.
A "focused massage" session put an end to my lower leg cramps. I had been up FOUR times the previous night trying to walk off the cramps and can't get the Quinine for them any more. I explained to the masseuse what was happening and she went to work. NO more leg cramps for one month so far!
The WATSU (they call it Aqua Zen at Miraval) was absolutely amazing! If you are comfortable in a body temp pool, with someone else keeping your face out of the water, and can really relax this is very freeing. The practitioner moves your body with gentle stretching and back and forth motion so that the water is actually doing the massage. Chrisy went into 7th heaven after hers! I have found two places here that offer it and am in the process of deciding where I want to go to continue with this treatment.
Just a little recap. It was not cheap, but the restful, uncrowded atmosphere and the high degree of professionalism of all the therapists and class leaders was completely worth it.
