Tumor Markers again, should I worry?

I hate these stupid tests. At my first 3 momth check up my ca27.29 came back at 37. My history has been 25 baseline, up to 46 during chemo, back to 40 one month after chemo, then 27, 28, 32. 30 and now 37. Onc. nurse says nothing to worry about. Can't help it. Looks scarry to me. Any advise?

Mine have been chaotic and up and down - just like yours. You're fine - and the reason I say this is like me, they go up a couple of points then go down a couple of points. I have gone up and down with a 10 - 15 point variation (my lowest was an 11 and highest a 26 but the variations have been inbetween, all over the place. Believe me, when my first one was 11 and the next one was 19, I freaked but then the one after that was 16 then I had a 15 then 26 (freak again) but that was followed by 19 then a 13).

If you were like 20, 22, 30, 34, 37, 40 - it could be more worrisome as it is a constant upward progression but yours is just normal variation in the test.

Kind regards

Becky
