MRI head CT chest,abdomen,pelvis NORMAL
This is the only time i've had scans that actually say NORMAL. They usually put all the other strange stuff they see.My liver enzymes up are probably due to either the Bactrim i'm on or the herbs i take. He said to back off on them. It's hard because now i will have to pick and choose. Gina, if your reading this what do you think i should stay on? I want to stay on my Maitake mushroom tablets. I don't think these can be toxic. Would like anyones suggestions about which herbs are bad for ones liver.

What a relief!!
Way to go, woman! That is just what I expected to hear.
Now you can breathe a LOT easier.
Are you taking anything that is LIVER cleansing such as Standardized Milk Thistle?? Or teas with red clover and other things good for the blood and liver?
We already had a thread some time back on this board on how certain herbs and supplements can throw off the enzymes and other values in our blood work. Don't know if I can find it and I did not save it - just recall the general gist of the posts. Maybe Al started it?
I eat a lot of SHIITAKE mushrooms - they are good against cancer as well. Try to have them once a week.
Anyway - all the positive thinking did some GOOD.

Michelle
How can a hero be normal? They should just say clean as a whistle. I knew it would be fine.
As far as your supplements, as Tom asked, what are you taking besides the Maitake (I take them as well).
Love and Peace

That's great news, Michelle. Many prayers were answered. Isn't it great to be able to have normal thoughts again, and not have to fret so on what you might find out?? We've all been there......
Many blessings,
Barbara

Hi Michele,
Maitake cannot do harm to liver.
I think u shouldkeep taking maitake as there are clinical studies going on which show benefits of Maitake...
List out your supplements.
Regards,
Rupali

Michele, I read that infection can sometimes cause liver enzymes to go up; since you have a bladder infection maybe that's why your's are up? Ask your doc.
